Bissell 1770 Quicksteamer is a lightweight upright carpet steam cleaner with looks that match the heavy-duty carpet cleaners. Yet this carpet cleaner uses the gyrations of the brushes to clean rather than a steamer.
Consensus: This Carpet Cleaner though attractive in price, cannot match the performance of other machines in the same price range. It performs good on spots that aren’t large or in bedded, yet performs weak on high-traffic areas.

Bissell 1770 Carpet Cleaner Review Analysis:
Features: Weighing just 12 pounds this Bissell is a lightweight carpet steam cleaner perfect for households. It has 6 rows of brushes for loosening and removing embedded dirt, while working. It can work the most high-traffic problem areas with a 20-foot cord.
Also Includes:
- 16-ounce container of multi-allergen cleaning formula
- 8-ounce booster cleaning formula
Performance: Most complain that this carpet cleaner isn’t a Carpet Steam cleaner after all, the water is only as hot as your faucet lets you. The machine does not heat or steam the water in any way. Forgetting the fact that the tittle of “QuickSteamer” is misleading, it doesn’t offset this with good performance. Most user reviews we reviewed were highlight its moderate performance.
Value: Selling for just $70, it makes an inexpensive carpet cleaner – yet its performance isn’t praise worthy.
Bissell 1770 Quicksteamer Reviews:
“OK, just so you know – this is not a steamer per se; even thought the model name is QuickSteamer, there is nothing about this model which actually turns the water into hot steam. The water that flows onto your carpets is only as hot as when you put it in the water tank – from your tap – so don’t expect to get any steaming action from this model. Additionally, there are no moving parts – no spinning brushes. ” – User Reviews
“The price tag on Bissell’s QuickSteamer 1770 makes it attractive, but only if your home has a limited amount of carpet and your priority is a machine that is light in weight.” – ConsumerGuide
“Alright, it is not all good news, clean up was a whole other task. The dirty water tank is NOT as easy to take out and empty as the cleaning solution tank was to fill. As I unlocked and separated the dirty water tank, some leaked. Fortunately, I was in the kitchen headed towards the sink when this happened. I was unaware that this would happen, and next time I empty the unit, I will place my steam cleaner right next to my sink before emptying it. I also had to catch the pet hair as I rinsed out the unit, so that it did not clog my drains. There didn’t seem to be a simple way to rinse the unit, although it clearly needed to be rinsed. ” – User Review
