The 14.4 V cyclonic action offers great suction power, and this cordless Black & Decker Dustbuster features the AccuReach nozzle, to probe into those narrow areas. The EZ clean dial clears the filter as needed, to ensure maximum suction power. The translucent dust bin removes easily and is emptied with a simple one-step process.
The CHV 1408 has a three stage filtration system to keep the air exhaust clear, and wall mountable base charger with easy disconnection feature. This model comes with a separate upholstery brush and additional crevice tool.

This particular Black & Decker Dustbuster gets mixed reviews; some consumers were extremely impressed with the smooth removal from the charger base, the Accureach extension nozzle, and the easy one step emptying. The powerful motor and cyclonic action are claimed to make this a very efficient tool.
One reviewer even proclaimed it the best Dustbuster he had ever owned.
On the other side of the coin, several consumers claimed this to be “junk” and “a waste of money”. They complained that the extension wand would slide out unaided, when not wanted, and when it was put to use was so thin that it clogged up too easily and was very difficult to clear out. Another complaint was that as the extension wand is a permanent feature, even when retracted it makes the regular mouth smaller than normal.
The on-off switch is too difficult to move, and the dust collector is poorly latched and prone to coming off.
Such contradicting reviews suggest that this little model is ideal for some, useless for others, or maybe it’s a problem of consistency. The only answer is to try it for yourself; just like eating beets – you either love it or you hate it!
