Black and Decker PSV1800

The Black & Decker PSV1800 is another pivoting vacuum cleaner, similar to their handheld vacuum. Powered by a 18-Volt Cordless motor, it is Energy Star approved.

Consensus: This is a phenomenal bagless, cordless, stick vacuum which can be an apartment’s main vacuum cleaner. But the price range makes puts it in the range of a premium vacuum.

Black & Decker PSV1800 Overall Rating: ★★★★☆

Black & Decker PSV1800 Review Analysis:

Features: Its sleek design isn’t just appealing, it can fold in half for compact storage. It has standard features including motorized roller brush switch (to switch between bare floors and carpets) and a 3-stage filter. But, it differs by adding side-suction vents, and being Energy Star Certified.

Other Features of the PSV1800:

  • Cyclonic Suction Technology
  • Energy Star rated
  • Bagless dirt canister
  • Charging stand included
  • 11-Pounds
  • 2-year warranty

Performance: By perusing the reviews, we have found that many users complained about the load noise the vacuum makes. All reviews regarding suction were exemplary, reporting strong suction on both hardwood floors and carpets.

Users report a battery life of around 20 minutes, which should do fine.

Value: All users were satisfied with the product, as it replaced the likes of Electrolux and Hoover. Yet some users weren’t certain it was the$100 purchase price.

Black & Decker PSV1800 Reviews:

“This is a good product. It’s great on floors and decent on carpeting, but not that great on light rugs, which may roll-up and get caught in the brushes rather than staying put and allowing the vacuum to clean.” – User Review

I just got it for Christmas. Tried it on our hardwood floors and the area rugs and it picked up from both surfaces. I like how it will go under furniture. ” – User Review

Pleasantly surprised how powerful the 2nd speed; (beater brush), for carpet, was. Great for apartments. Compact, folds up, lightweight, cleans under furniture, & holds a charge! Good suction, & easy to clean. Just dump the dirt in the garbage. No bags. Highly recommended! ” – User Review
