The Dyson DC23 is Dyson’s only canister vacuum, claimed to be allergy friendly. Its called “stowaway” because it is compact and be hidden easily.
Dyson DC23 Stowaway Review Analysis:
Features: While the features on the Dyson DC23 are abundant, users felt it was too heavy weighing close to 24 pounds. Users also complained about its noisy motor
- Long Cord – 21+ Feet with cord rewind.
- HEPA Filter - for allergy sufferers.
- Bagless canister - 0.44 Gallon capacity
- Cleaning attachments – Stair tool, Brush tool, Crevice tool, Motorized brushbar and Hard floor tool.
- Comes with a Five-Year Warranty.
Performance: Its performance was commented on being efficient equally on bare floors and carpet; it has high suction according to Dyson’s website: 220 airwatts (constant). Users praised about its ability to pick up pet hair.
Value: Though it is well performing machine, with a lot going for it. The sticker price of $600 (Amazon) would take a lot of vacuuming to be really worth it.

Dyson DC23 Stowaway Reviews:
“The suction is great as with all Dysons, I have over filled it a couple of times and it stills sucks fine. I find it only needs emptying every 6 weeks or so (I vacuum 2-3 times a week).” – User Review
“Very compact. Easy to store, all attachments have their own storage place on the vacuum and even the pipe neatly wraps around the cylinder and clips into place. Easy to use. Sits safely on the stairs to make vacuuming easier. Excellent.” – User Review
“I would definitely recommend the Dyson DC23 to anyone looking for a powerful bagless canister that is very powerful, efficient on all types of flooring, compact for easy storage…” – User Review

Owned his canister vacuum for 2 years. Regret big time! Even my Husband hates vacuuming for me since the machine is heavy & VERY unuserfriendly. Not advisable for people who cannot lift heavy things like pregnant Mothers. Hose is too long & get tangled easily. With the same price I should have consider Dyson ball. It’s tempting to sell this junk back to where I bought it but it’s all wear & tear even after being thrown several times. It’s durable but again, not user friendly.
