Eureka 431A Optima is a lightweight, bagless upright vacuum. Its found at WalMart, Amazon, Costco and other places, and because of its low price we have analyzed hundreds of user reviews.
Eureka 431BXZ Review Analysis:
Features: Though the vacuum does have a filter, users consistently report it is hard to maintain and clean. It has some cleaning tools, but some users report they don’t stay in place.
- On/off brushroll for switching between carpet and bare-floor cleaning
- 1-Year Limited Warranty
Performance: It is best reviewed for rugs or carpets, but gets poor reviews on bare floors. It has commendable amount of suction, which can be attributed to its load noise (reported by majority).
- It doesn’t get positive reviews when vacuuming up pet hair, just blowing the hair around before actually vacuuming it up.
- Half of the users reported the vacuums maneuverability is easy, while the other half reported it wasn’t easy to move.
Value: For only $50 (Amazon), it does what its suppose to do: clean small areas. Its bagless, canister is too small for users to praise – even shutting off when it is full.
Conclusion: Though this does a commendable job for the price, don’t expect this vacuum to be very durable or easy to maintain/clean. It is best for small rug areas, where no pets are present and when lightweight is preferred.

Eureka 431BXZ Optima Reviews:
“While not the best long-term investment, we anticipate lots of these eye-catching models will be sold.” – Expert Review
“We’ve used the Eureka Optima for two months now, and we are quite pleased with our purchase. Main strengths are it’s attractive price (55$), low weight, ergonomic design and good suction power.” – User Review
“Replacing and cleaning the filter has not resolved the problem, and every time I vacuum it leaves an ever-larger lump of lint on the carpet at the end of every stroke. It’s getting really annoying.” – User Review“The DCF-10 filter is both expensive and clogs easily. This is really a poor design. The filter is aptly named for as it clogs, the unit gets louder and louder like a DC-10 jet taking off at the airport. These filters are $21 dollars apiece at my local brick and mortar stores and are not easy to find.” – User Review
