Everybody knows environmental friendly campaign to change the world is strong and the Eureka’s response is the Eureka 8-amp Motor Envirovac 3041 Upright Vacuum. Eureka’s ad copy says the vacuum, “ is a high-performance energy saving vacuum that uses 33% less energy than typical full-size uprights. ” Basically it means that traditional vacuums use 12-amp motors and this one uses only 8-amp. Like other Eureka pet friendly models, it uses the Power Paw with Riser Visor for cleaning upholstery and stairs.
The vacuum is inexpesive (Estimate $75) and being claimed as an Environmental Vacuum we were skeptical, because there is a direct correlation on energy use and a vacuum’s performance. (Maybe users should care about excess energy if it means their homes are cleaner) There is definitely a poor suction according to user reviews as they rated the vacuum as not meeting their expectations.
Note: The 3041AQU, the 3041AZ, the 3041BZ, and 3041Red are all the same vacuum expect for the color of the machine. Aqua, White, Blue/Back and Red respectively.
The Eureka corporation has already introduced the Enviro Steamer, which is an environmental steam cleaner, now they have made upright vacuums environmentally friendly.
Eureka 8-amp Motor Envirovac 3041 Upright Vacuum Review Summary: The vauum doesn’t fair well. The lack of tools and features makes this don’t buy. Then factor in that using less energy may mean lesser performance and it seems palpable that this vacuum isn’t recommend. There are just too many draw back that make this purchase unwise.
