Even without a power beater, the vacuum handles rugs surprisingly well, although for a home full of fitted carpets, this may not be the right choice.
With a low budget and/or shortage of space, this is the perfect choice; very light and easy to carry up and down stairs, the 900A is more than capable of dealing with any job you put it to, apart from possibly thick carpets. Unlike other inexpensive models, this one has a retractable cord; no need to wind the cord away manually for storage.
The disposable bags are cheap to buy too; yet another plus for this thoroughly recommendable vacuum cleaner.
