Eureka’s 940A Pet Lover Canister is another bagless canister with Pet Owners in mind. This one is more expensive than the Eureka 3684F, but has a lot for cool features. Estimated at $140, this canister system is complete with The Pet Power Paw® removes pet hair from carpet and upholstery. Apparently, this Pet Power Paw is on every Eureka Pet Lover Vacuum – but we don’t see it as bad because the plastic teeth loosen it, rubber strip grabs it and bristles remove pet hair.
Yet comparison withe Eureka 3684F Canister Vacuum, this vacuum is considerably heavier – to the tune of 10 pounds. It is also bagless which means lover operating costs. The manufacture says that, “In addition to sparkling floors and surfaces, the vacuum delivers cleaner, more breathable indoor air thanks to its cyclonic chamber filter and HEPA exhaust filter, which captures 99.97-percent of dust, allergens, and pet dander.”
Eureka 940A Pet Lover Canister Consensus: Though the 940A is an attempt by Eureka to make a quality bagless canister, it falls short. Heavy and with less features than its sister (the 3684F) the vacuum has little going for it and considering its more than 40% more expensive – it is not recommended.
