Hello;
My central vac (Eureka Smart Vac) has poor suction throughout the house – any suggestions on how to rectify the problem?

You may want to check if it is clogged? Does it need a new belt? Is the roller brush turning?

my eureka 4870 shut off and smoke cam from the power switch. now it won’t turn on. when i checked the switch the two black wires had bare spots and were stuck together. can this be fixed with a new rocker switch??

My Eureka Maxima will not self propel and the motor gets hot after a few minutes. The brush spins and the hoses are not clogged. How do I fix this?

I totally 100% agree with Carolyn Hook. My vacuum does the same thing. It runs “ok” at first but then starts to get hot. The belt is fine and i have checked all the hoses. No clogs. Dont know what’s wrong with it. When i first got it it felt like it wanted to run away from me and i had to hold it tight. Now i have to push hard on it to get it to go. And running hot. Whats wrong with it? Dont feel like spending more money on another vacuum.

Wow…it’s hard to believe that Eureka started way back in 1909. You can really tell when a company spits out quality products when they last over 100 years!
