There were still fresh vacuum tracks in my living room carpet (from the last time I had vacuumed with my old dirt devil) when I took my new Eureka Whirlwind + Pet Lover's out of the box- and it still picked up THREE CANISTERS of PET HAIR and DUST in ONE PASS. AMAZING!!! I cannot believe it! And my upholstery is like new- like I don't have a dog! I cannot vouch for the longevity of the product, but my first impressions are five stars.
