With no assembly necessary, this lightweight steam Vac is ready to work immediately; cleaning up spills and trodden-in dirt with ease. Works on hot tap water and a supplied 8 oz bottle of cleaning solution, which is applied with the touch of a finger trigger (Replacement detergent is easily available) This handy little cleaner washes the fibers of the carpet, then sucks up the dirty liquid and transports it to a second tank: Clean and dirty water tanks are both transparent, for easy monitoring.
The unit weighs only 9 lbs, and empties easily with just one hand, and the 480 W motor turns easily on and off with an easy-access switch on the handle.
Very easy to store; measuring only 13″ high and 12″ in diameter, while the 12′ power cord wraps around the top and the 5 foot hose wraps around the base.

Excellent reviews for this handy little steam Vac from Hoover, proclaiming it perfect for spot cleaning and small area jobs, though maybe a full carpet is a lot to ask from this junior model; probably an upright would be better for the big tasks. However as an alternative to getting on your hands and knees, trying to remove stains and soak up enough liquid to stop the carpet rotting, this is a great little helper to keep in your cupboard.
Excellent too for cleaning car upholstery; the 5′ hose gives plenty of reach inside the vehicle, and the trigger system allows you freedom to spray as little or as much cleaning solution as you require, without soaking the seats.
Attacking spills immediately may remove the need for any cleaning solution; clean hot water and immediate suction should do the job.
In summary; anyone with young children or pets, or anywhere with frequent spills, should definitely avail yourselves of this helpful little gadget, you will soon find you cannot do without it!
