Bought because was highly recommended by Consumer Reports.

Brought home. Vacuumed about 3 square yards of a low pile carpet. Vacuum shuts off with flashing blue light meaning (according to manual) the beater brush Stall Preventor kicked in. Instructions said to clean brushes. Even though only a few cat hairs, I cleaned it. Still shuts off within 2-10 seconds.

Returned to store for replacement. Replacement did the exact same thing. Ran it on a hardwood floor. Still shut off. There must be a sensor that THINKS the vacuum beater bar is about to stall.

Will return to store and buy another brand.
