November 24, 2008

Kirby is a popular manufacturer of vacuum cleaners. Owned by billionaire Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, it started out in 1914 in Cleveland Ohio. The newest product to come out of Kirby is the Sentria, which claims over 12 separate machines in one easy vacuum.

Kirby Corporate Bio

Inventor James Kirby made his first vacuum cleaner in 1906, one that was designed to use water to separate dirt from surfaces. Today, the company is still going strong and can only be bought via door to door salespeople. Kirby Vacuum Cleaners most popular model is the model the company is currently selling, the aluminum-made Sentria System, a vacuum that can be converted into to a Deep-Cleaning Upright, a Carpet Shampoo System, and Floor Buffer, among other incarnations.

I have a century 3 kirby upright vacuum. the lock on the handle doesn’t hold the handle upright for storage. Is there a way to adjust it?
