The Oreck XL21 vacuum is very lightweight at only 8lbs, making it very easy to handle, and the hypoallergenic filtration ensures it to be safe for asthmatics and allergy sufferers. The super-speed double helix brushes, and the special side brushes give excellent, fast cleaning power, while ensuring the edges of walls and moldings are not missed.

The vacuum cleaner passes from carpet to hard floors with no hassle, also makes stair cleaning easy because of it’s light weight, although it performs like a much heavier machine. Reviewers remark on the noticeable difference to a carpet they thought was already clean, after one pass of this great machine.
Though more expensive than some others; like anything else, we get what we pay for, and in this case it seems the extra is money well spent. The bottom opens easily with 4 screws for access to the belt and roller, in case of need, with a spare belt supplied with the unit.
There have been claims that these are the best built vacs since the original sturdy Hoovers; whether that is the case is for the individual to decide, what is clear is that Oreck get the vote for quality machines and excellent service.
