We've had a simplicity 7-Series for about 6-years. This is the best vacuum we've owned. We now have young 3-kids, 1-dog, and 2-cats. It does a great job of cleaning up behind them. The +'s are its made in the USA and parts are engineered to be replaced. Previously we had the $100-200 that gave out in 9-12 months b/c of the cheap plastic parts gave out and could not be replaced. This one has steel parts that last longer, and when they need replacement can be serviced/replaced (kind of like that old 60's car that was made to last and parts replaced). It's worth the $.

I have had my simplicity upright for over 15 years. The only thing I have done is changed a few belts. And one burnt out light bulb. I own 2 dogs so we have enough dog hair to clean up. This in my books is the best vacuum out there. My daughter is getting married so I think a Simplicity is the best shower gift I can give her. Thanks Simplicity! A very happy customer.

Love my simplicity. It is very powerful and quiet. The simplicity is made in the usa with a metal brush unlike other cheap vacuums. It seems to not only clean but polish my carpets. Worth the money. Belts are easy to change on mine and it came with a great warranty too.

I am not very happy with my Simplicity 7000 series vacuum! The belt began to melt and needed changing. I had another one here, so I thought no problem ~ NOT!! I had melting black rubber all over my hands and it was a bear to disassemble. So much for simplistic! Finally, I got the belt off and the new belt semi on and could not force the beater bar back into place, try as I might. I had to end up taking it to a service center and even they had difficulties with it. At least it was fixed, or so I thought. I had emergency surgery and thought I could still vacuum since it's self propelled ~ wrong again! Somehow, after just a minute or two, it lost that ability and I am only able to use the attachments now. What a downer for a vacuum that cost so much!
